Skype for Business on a Mobile Device
A Skype for Business (SFB) app is available for free from the app store for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia. The following features are available:- Publish and view status
- Screen reader/voice over
- View Contacts list/groups
- Search Global Address Book/Personal Contacts
- Initiate instant messages (IM)
- Participate in multi-party IM
- Initiate email to a Contact
- SFB-to-SFB audio and video
- Click Join Online Meeting in the meeting reminder to join a meeting or conference call
- Use dial-out conferencing (server calls your mobile device)
- View shared desktop or program (not Android)
- Start an unscheduled group conversation with multiple participants directly from your client or device (not Android)
- Transfer a call (not Android)
- Access voice mail
Available for Android, iPhone and Windows 10 Mobile.
Skype for Desktop Windows 10
There are two type of Skype clients on Windows 10
Skype app for Windows 10 - Skype version 8.30.0.98 (at the moment)
and
Skype for desktop version 8.31.0.92
It can be downloaded from the same Skype page https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/ BUT!!! If you just click button 'Get Skype for Windows 10' it will bring you to Microsoft app store to download Skype app. You need to click small down arrow on the right side of the button to get 'Get Skype for Windows' please see animated gif below.

Skype for Tablet
When you start the Skype app for the first time, work through the initial setup screens. You can even take the tour. Be sure to have Skype scour the tablet’s address book for contacts you can Skype. This process may take a while, but if you’re just starting out, it’s a great help.Skype is free to use. Text chat is free. Voice and video chat with one other Skype user is also free. When you want to call a real phone, or video-chat with a group, you need to boost your account with Skype Credit.
It’s doesn’t cost extra to do a gang video chat in the Hangouts app.
Don’t worry about getting a Skype number, unless you plan to receive Skype phone calls on your tablet. Those phone calls include calls from any phone, not just a mobile device using the Skype app. So, unless it’s your ultimate desire to transform your Android tablet into a cell phone, don’t bother with the Skype number.
